Der 50 ha große Forschungscampus zeichnet sich durch seine Insellage in der bedeutsamen Heidelandschaft der nördlichen Münchner Schotterebene aus. Neben der Unterbringung weiterer Funktionen wie Tagungs- und Kongresszentren, temporären Wohnmöglichkeiten und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten achteten wir besonders auf die Schärfung des Profils sowie die Identifikation der 1.700 Mitarbeiter mit dem Forschungszentrum. Die bauliche Verdichtung, die Entdichtung der Bestandsgebäude und die Sichtbezüge zum naturnahen Aussenraum stehen dabei im Mittelpunkt. The research campus of 50 ha is defined by its island position in the heathlands of the gravel lowlands in the north of Munich. Apart from further functions, such as convention and conference centre, temporary living and shopping facilities, the sharpening of the institute’s profile and the identification of the 1.700 employees with the research centre were important aspects. The edificial density, the de-densification of the existing buildings and the views to the nature-orientated outdoor spaces are the main aims of the strategy and in the centre of interest. |
